There’s currently a very high demand for professional Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in Canada, even though the pandemic is continuing, it appears that 2021 is a great year for those who want to become or excel in a career as a CPA.

“In a recovery with everything in rapid flux, CPAs are seen as trusted advisers now more than ever,” says Evelyne Blain, CPA, CMA, business development director at CPA Québec, as reported by CPA Canada. “In 2020, excluding the March-April lockdown and the typically quieter summer months, twice as many of these positions were available in eight months as in the entire previous year,” she says.

It’s a promising sign for those planning to start a career as an accountant or financial advisor, or those who were on the lookout for new opportunities in the accounting industry. And now is the time to make the educational leaps you might need to succeed in a CPA position.
